The NJ Venom was started in the Fall 2010 with just one 18U team (Team Benish). In Fall 2011, we had our first expansion to 4 teams. In Fall 2013, we had our second expansion to 8 teams.

The NJ Venom does our best to play schedules that are appropriate to the level of our teams. If you are looking for trophies, this is not the place. If you are looking to have your daughter trained in a professional manner and challenged on a regular basis, then the NJ Venom will meet or exceed your expectations. Our top teams in each age group play in the highest level showcases, tournaments, and qualifiers within a reasonable budget. We have second tier teams in most age groups for developing players as well. All of our fees and schedules are posted on our website.

The major difference that separated the NJ Venom from other travel softball organizations is our trainers. All of our teams are trained by Anthony Benish and Anthony (Caldo) Coladonato from 10U- 18U.

All teams from Futures and up are coached by outside paid coaches that have no children on the team. We have a very simple philosophy about our program, we carry the least amount of players possible to guarantee playing time for all players. Our goal is to have every player that wants to play softball in college recruited by the college of their choice. Every player that has graduated from the NJ Venom organization that has wanted to play in college, has played in college.
